to all women at any ages:

A LILAC HAT ….
Woman.
When she is five: She looks in the mirror and sees a princess.
When she is ten: She looks in the mirror and sees Cinderella.
When she is fifteen: She looks in the mirror and sees Cinderella’s nasty stepsister: “Mum, I can’t go to school looking like that".
When she is twenty: She looks in the mirror and sees herself “too fat, too thin, too short, too tall, with too curled hair, or too straight hair", but she goes out anyway.
When she is thirty: She looks in the mirror and sees herself “too fat, too thin, too short, too tall, with too curled hair, or too straight hair" but she is to busy to care and she goes out anyway.
When she is forty: She looks in the mirror and sees herself “too fat, too thin, too short, too tall, with too curled hair, or too straight hair" but she says she is clean and neat at least and she goes out anyway.
When she is fifty: She looks in the mirror and says: “I am myself" and goes everywhere.
When she is sixty: She looks at herself and recalls all those people who can’t look at themselves in the mirror any more. She goes out and wins the world.
When she is seventy: She looks at herself and sees wisdom, joy and competence. She goes out and enjoys life.
When she is eighty: She doesn’t worry about the mirror any more. She just puts her lilac hat on and goes out to enjoy the world.
Why don’t we put on our lilac hats much earlier in our lives.....?
